Power Take-Off (PTO) is an auxiliary equipment drive found on police and fleet vehicles. It allows the engine to power external equipment (lights, computers, AC) while the vehicle is idling. Civilian Explorer models do not have PTO. To check if your vehicle has PTO, refer to the build sheet or VIN decoder.
